After reading really bad reviews, I was expecting the worst. However, this is not a bad hotel. Staff are polite. Rooms are quite decent. Breakfast has a wide variety of options. My biggest complaint would be the pressure of the hot water in the shower. That really ruined the end of my stay.

Good sized rooms. Clean and tidy. Needs maintenance [broken chair].and updating. Travelled home during the corona virus. Early morning on the day of our departure [06.00] our flight was cancelled. Had to re-book with another airline. Pasquale on the front desk went the extra mile to help us. Got home safely. Thank you.

An excellent experience of stay at Mercure Bologna, warm welcome when we arrived. Great room, pleasant drink in the lounge. Breakfast was excellent, what a choice of food, the best yet. We will be back. Excellent location right next to Bologna central station.

Mercure Centro, so easy to find

The hotel was easy to find, well if you were arriving by train or the airport bus as it was just across the road. It is a busy area but you are in the middle of Bologna where you can go straight out & explore. Despite being in a busy "transit" are the hoel was very quiet inside. Our room overlooked the rear garden & was a good size, but on the second day the toilet gave up flushing, this was reported in the morning but was not able to be fixed so we were able to move to the next door room. Probably because of its size the hotel felt a bit "impersonal" & didn't compare to the "Mercure" in Parma where we stayed the previous year. However it was very quiet & we did get a good nights sleep.

Before my staying I read some reviews and I was a little bit worried, however everything was perfect. They are renewing the hotel and I got a modern triple room with brand new beds, TV. it's located in front of Bologna Central Station and a 15 min easy walk from historic center.

Hello, First, upon check-in I was informed that I can not receive the invoice because I requested it too late. I didn't receive it yet. The room was in a very bad condition (falling wallpapers, dirty walls, dirty toilet). I even made the pictures because I was shocked the room at Accor Hotels can look this bad. I am going to post them on Google soon. If you consider it useful I can send them also to you. I received the room in the front part of the building, above the main street, even if I am sure the hotel was only partly booked. I could understand this situation if hotel was fully booked and there was no other option. I was checking out early in the morning as my flight was departing at 6 a.m. so I was able to sleep well because of the noise outside. Overall review is poor as I expect much more from Accor Hotel.

We are aware that our hotel is a little old fashioned and need refurbishment and updated equipment. The problem is also well known by the management of the Mercure brand. For this reason, in order to improve the comfort of our rooms and services, a complete renovation of the hotel is planned, starting from February 2020, after the construction and validation of the first sample room, planned for November 2019. Important investments will be allocated to adapt the hotel to the Mercure standards. Regarding the inconvenient that happened to you at check-in time, I want to reassure you that the Finance Department is working on creating your new invoice - please contact us privately providing us your email adress and we will sent you the invoice as soon as possible. I can guarantee you that normally we do our best in order to satisfy the requests of all our guests: I suggest you for the future times to ask to our Staff a room facing our internal garden - in order to be sure to have a quiet room, in case of hotel fully booked. It was our first trip to your city. Arriving late from the airport the fact that airport bus stopped at the main station meant that we had no difficulty in locating the hotel - always a source of anxiety in visiting a new city. Our registration was handled most efficiently and we were immediately made feel welcome. Our room was somewhat larger than we were expecting and though the hotel is not the most modern it was not shabby and the facilities were clean. It was quiet and we slept well. We used it as a base for the five days of our stay and we had no real problems. The internet appeared to go down one of the evenings but we were not discommoded by this. The hotel is perfectly situated for rambling throughout the city. We had to print out boarding cards on the Saturday and the receptionist was most accommodating and helped in the use of an unfamiliar computer and printer. The staff throughout were most friendly and alway greeted us with a smile. We will certainly recommend Mercure Bologna Centro to our friends.

Отель выбирался исключительно из-за месторасположения: хаотическое перемещение в коротком отпуске заставляет искать отели около вокзалов. Отель очень неплох, но местами чувствуется история. Ванну можно было набирать только посредством душа, поскольку кран холодной воды вообще не работал. Но завтраки откровенно хороши, есть много "милых мелочей", которых не сыщешь в "Ибисах". Вокруг отеля в пешей досягаемости (помимо вокзала) прекрасный книжный рынок и пара неплохих супермаркетов (Pam и Coop), где социопаты типа меня могут обеспечить себя хорошим ужином в номере.

Great location and hotel

Great location juat across the central railway station and airport bus. In walking distances to sights, restaurants and shops. Despite being on a busy street, the room is very quiet and calm, so slept very well. Clean and with a friendly staff, what else could we want. After my first stay here, I don’t look any further- I stay here every time I’m in Bologna.

хорошее месторасположение, напротив железнодорожный вокзал и остановка автобуса в аэропорт, приемлимая цена за номер, разнообразный завтрак. у меня был номер на верхнем этаже с ванной и мини-лоджией во внутренний двор с красивыми деревьями и старинными статуями

Хороший отель с идеальным расположением и огромным приятным сюрпризом в виде внутреннего дворика ( да почти парка) Сам отель очевидно нуждается в реновации, хотя претензий особых нет - общее ощущение.

Все понравилось. Приветливый и заботливый персонал. Большая комната, чисто и аккуратно. Единственное, видно, что отелю уже много лет и обновление интерьера проводилось только частично.

2 years ago 6nights,this time 5 nights.Bologna itself is very well located to visit various towns by train.,like Modena,Ferara,Ravena,Parma,Rimini/San Marino.The Hotel is just in front of the train station. Magic 1.How they could manage with their prices?Very cheap I thought. Magic 2.How big people coud take shower,with their extremely small shower booth? Old but nice hotel.Their Privilege Room mini bar variety is the best I have ever stayed.The worst is in Spain,with 2 small waters only.Mercure should set a standard!

Room was as expected. Hotel perfect location for train station and near rental cat outlets. Good restaurants nearby. Air conditioning was quite ineffective so room was fairly stuffy in the hot weather.

Modern property 4 * this hotel is not. Upon arriving we were told that parking was around the corner to the back of the hotel, this was a cost of €20 per day. You then unload your luggage and take the lift to level 5, well we were not told the lift from the garage did not go to level 5 so had to unload at level 4 and transfer to another lift. We were advise we had been allocated a Premier room, that room was dismal, black marks on the wall and wallpaper peeling off the bed was very very hard and the view was abysmal depressing. As a Gold Accor member I received a voucher for 2 free drinks, and was not advised until our third day after enquiring that the soft drinks in the room fridge were complimentary. The hall way walls to the rooms are also in a state of repair. It seems to me that the staff of this hotel need traing in what level of service an Accor member should receive I would not recommend this hotel

В целом отель оставил самые хорошие впечатления. Заселили даже раньше времени, у нас был улучшенный номер с бесплатным минибаром и халатами. Все соответствовало описанию. Единственное, почему то не было обещанного приветственного набора фруктов, но это никак не сказалось на впечатлении от проживания. Завтраки нормальные, нас все устроило. В качестве пожелания - нужно уже сделать ремонт и обновить номерной фонд. Видна усталось номеров.
