Самые известные новогодние песни на английском - Happy New Year ABBA и Jingle Bells- настолько популярны, что уже и мы ассоциируем их с Новым годом. Правда, слов не знаем))

А вот в англоязычном мире рождественских и новогодних песен гораздо больше. И они точно так же, как Happy New Year и Jingle Bells, вызывают у англичан новогодние ассоциации.

Давайте и мы приобщимся к прекрасному новогоднему настроению и, пока есть время, подучим слова новогодних песен))

Auld Lang Syne написал шотландский поэт Роберт Бёрнс в 1788, и на современном английском auld lang syne звучит как long long ago или old times.

В самой песне ничто не намекает на Новый год, но, тем не менее, песня считается новогодней, ибо в ней вспоминаются старые друзья и былые дни. А как раз дни уходящего года мы и вспоминаем, подводя итоги года.
